West Bengal Pre Matric Scholarship 2022: West Bengal Minorities Development & Finance Corporation invites applications for West Bengal Pre Matric Scholarship from minority students of West Bengal. Candidates studying in Class 1 to 10 at a school or institution to eligible WB Pre Matric Scholarship.
About the Scholarship
WBMDFC was established in 1996 as per West Bengal Act XVIII of 1995, i.e. The West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation Act, 1995. The Corporation has taken up various schemes for Economic Welfare, Scholarships, vocational training, mass awareness, and career counseling which are running successfully for persons belonging to the notified religious minority Communities i.e., Muslim/Christian/Buddhist/Sikh/Jain and Parsee for their economic upliftment.
Eligibility Criteria for Pre Matric Scholarship 2022
(i) Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
(ii) Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
(iii) Must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
(iv) The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
(v) Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for the pre-matric or post-matric scholarships.
Scholarship Scheme
1) Class 1 to 5 Student
Maintenance Allowance – INR 1,100 (for day scholars)
2) Class 6 to 10 Students (For Day Scholars)
Admission fee & tuition fee – INR 4,400
Maintenance Allowance – INR 1,100
3) Class 6 to 10 students (For Hostellers)
Admission fee & tuition fee – INR 4,400
Maintenance Allowance – INR 6,600
